• Enquiry data — the name, email, institution, and message you provide when you request a consultation.
• Usage data — basic, aggregated information about how the site is used, to keep it fast and reliable.

• To provide and secure your account and the website.
• To send the weekly newsletter you subscribed to, and to confirm your subscription (double opt-in).
• To respond to consultation requests and enquiries.
• To understand and improve our content and services.

Legal basis

We process your data on the basis of your consent (for example, when you subscribe to the newsletter or submit an enquiry), and our legitimate interest in operating and improving Espero AI. You may withdraw consent at any time.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who process it on our behalf to run the service:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and storage.
• Resend — delivery of newsletter and transactional email.
• ImageKit — media hosting and delivery.
• Vercel — website hosting.

Some of these providers may process data on servers outside Kenya. Where that happens, we take steps to ensure your data remains protected to the standard required by the Kenya Data Protection Act.

Data retention

We keep your data only for as long as needed to provide the service or as required by law. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data, we will remove it from our active systems.
